- The Conch shell mala beads each have the powerful Tibetian mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” etched on them. The Conch shell is said to be “a gift from the stars” and is one of the eight auspicious signs (Ashtamangala). This shell symbolizes great power and strength, both physically, as in the mighty warrior, and spiritually as in the mystic sage. They have the natural ability to disperse negative energy. The shells have a protective base in which negativity finds hard to penetrate due to the salt water from the ocean.
- The use of Yak bone is intended to remind us of the very fact of our impermanence, that death will eventually come to us all, and to embrace lives filled with compassion, service, loving all, and happiness (without the pursuit of happiness) whether the things happening in our life are good or bad.
